Teaching Assistant Level 3 SEND Apprenticeship – Rivermead Primary School
Are you passionate about making a difference with children as they embark on their educational journey? We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice in our welcoming primary school.
Key Details
- Salary: £8 increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 months
- Working hours: Monday – Friday 08:40am – 3:00pm (term time only) 30 hours per week
- Location: London Bridge Road, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4BS
Apprenticeship Details
- Duration: 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Teaching Assistant SEND Level 3 Apprenticeship.
- Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)
- Delivery Method: All learning is delivered online/ remote.
Main Duties
- Supporting learning for individual pupils and of small groups under the guidance of the classroom teacher/Inclusion team and assist with the implementation of lesson plans and facilitate more ambitious learning activities
- Deliver class support and interventions.
- Undertake the activities and strategies agreed for individual pupils and small groups.
- Work with the teacher on individual and group programmes of work, liaising with individual targets and devising strategies to work the targets identified for the pupils.
- Assist in liaison with other professionals respecting confidentiality and contribute to the observation, record keeping and assessment of pupils.
- Monitor, record and analyse pupil data e.g. worksheets at the request of the class teacher
- Carry out the organisation and collation of pupil reports (as required)
- Attend TA/staff meetings, planning sessions and Training where applicable.
- Help with special occasions in the school’s annual calendar (if applicable)
- Assist with classroom administrative tasks e.g. photocopying
- Support pupils on school educational trips (if applicable) and First Aid and/or lunchtime/break time playground supervision (if required)

- Knowledge of national school curriculum

- DBS must be completed if successful in the role
