Classroom Teaching Assistant

This is a classroom teaching assistant position for 30 hrs per week – fixed term, term-time only. To support a number of children with additional needs, which could include 1 to 1 or small groups of children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

About the Role

The Governors and Leadership Team of our school wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and excellent teaching assistant. The successful applicant will support and champion the inclusive ethos of the school. We will consider any special skills, experience or training within SEND provision, either mainstream or specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support a number of children with additional needs, which could include 1 to 1 or small groups of children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Safeguarding

Conifers Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
