EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time
📍 Location: PR9 Area
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📄 Contract: Long-term
⏰ Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
Role Overview
Milk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment, supporting children with their early development and day-to-day learning.
Classroom & School Support
- Supportive and welcoming primary school environment
- Work alongside an experienced EYFS class teacher
- Opportunities to support children on both a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Collaborative EYFS team and supportive senior leadership
- Access to additional SEN support where required
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging EYFS activities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
- Support children with their communication, language, literacy, and numeracy development
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social development
- Support children with SEN and additional learning needs
- Help manage behavior using positive and nurturing strategies
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
- Support continuous provision and child-led learning
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working within EYFS or Early Years
- A genuine passion for supporting young children
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable
- A patient, caring, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to support children both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
