We are currently recruiting to further expand our brilliant staff team and strengthening it further in all areas of the school and college ready for the start of the new academic year. We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who will be based at our Wimborne (College) or Colehill (School) sites with a “can do” attitude. This position is offered on a full-time, term-time only basis.
About the Role
The role involves assisting the teacher and other teaching assistants in the development and implementation of a programme of work and in providing a stable, caring, and supportive learning environment for the pupils. You will be part of a team that is experienced and supportive where you can really get to know the pupils and your colleagues whilst working with pupils in small groups. The role is very varied, with no one day being the same, whilst being extremely rewarding. The working hours are 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, with half an hour for lunch, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher and other teaching assistants in the development and implementation of a programme of work.
- Provide a stable, caring, and supportive learning environment for the pupils.
- Work with pupils in small groups.
- Get to know the pupils and colleagues.
Requirements
- Motivated, skilled, and resilient person.
- Experience of and confidence in supporting young people with SEND, including those with complex needs.
- Flexible approach.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- Ability to meet the challenging needs of young people.
