Teaching Assistant: ASD Resource Base (EYFS)

Brent Primary School September 2026 Start

A welcoming Brent primary school is seeking an experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join its specialist EYFS ASD Resource Base from September 2026.

This rewarding role involves supporting a small group of six children with Autism (ASD) within a purpose-built unit attached to a mainstream primary school. You will work alongside two experienced support staff, delivering high-quality support under the guidance of the EYFS Lead, who is responsible for planning and overseeing the curriculum.

Your Role As a Teaching Assistant

  • Support a small group of six children with Autism (ASD) throughout the school day within the school's specialist resource base.
  • Work collaboratively with two other Teaching Assistants to provide a safe, structured and engaging learning environment.
  • Deliver learning activities planned by the EYFS Lead, adapting your approach to meet individual communication, sensory and developmental needs.
  • Encourage children's communication, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation through play-based learning and structured activities.
  • Support children with transitions, personal care (where required), sensory regulation and daily routines.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies and consistent approaches to help children feel secure and ready to learn.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school team to ensure every child reaches their potential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
