Part-time – Fixed Term 22.5 hours per week
Roehampton - Hospital School has an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week over 3 days. The salary for this role is £17,175 per annum
Roehampton Hospital School provides education for inpatient adolescents (ages 11 to 18) recovering from mental health needs, including eating disorders. Conveniently located in Roehampton, The Roehampton Hospital School benefits from excellent public transport links, including rail and bus services and easy access to major roads/motorways.
What you'll be doing
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support students' learning and attainment, helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. You will provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, enabling students to access the curriculum, participate confidently in lessons, and achieve their full potential. You'll play an important role in promoting students' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion, encouraging positive relationships and helping every student experience success in their learning journey.

Essential for the role
- The ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners with a range of needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of the impact of mental health on young people.
- Previous experience working with young people who have mental health needs.
