Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
- Must be registered in a graduate program at McGill University.
- Priority will be given to students enrolled in a graduate program in Geography.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
GEOG 217 Cities in the Modern World
Key Responsibilities
- Grading exams and a 5-page report
- Invigilating the midterm exam
- Overseeing the urban transect project
- Available on campus during exams and project grading
- Routine interactions with students in case of remote-delivery
Qualifications
- Background in foundational work in urban studies
- Comfortable grading written essays
- Prior coursework with a strong social-theoretical orientation in urban geography, urban planning, and/or urban studies
GEOG 272 Earth's Changing Surface
Key Responsibilities
- Photocopying and exercise preparation
- Grading exercises and exams
- Coordinating Q&A session during course
Qualifications
- Background in geomorphology and ideally some geology and/or environment studies
- Knowledge of climate change implications on the physical environment
GEOG 303 Health Geography
Key Responsibilities
- Marking assignments and exams
- Holding weekly office hours
- Advising students on assignments
- Offering tutoring as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software
- Basic understanding of concepts in health geography
- Introductory level statistical knowledge
- Fluency in English to grade essays
- Effective interpersonal skills

GEOG 305 Soils and Environment
Key Responsibilities
- Runs laboratory analysis section
- Collates analytical data and presents them to students

GEOG 314 Geospatial Analysis
