Heath Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant in Lower Key Stage 2.

At Heath Primary School, we have happy children who enjoy coming to school. We provide a nurturing environment that helps our children to thrive academically and socially. We are committed to giving children the best possible learning experiences, and with this in mind, we are looking to add another Teaching Assistant to our team.

You will:

  • Be positive and motivated
  • Be adaptable and show initiative where needed
  • Share the school's vision and ethos
  • Have high expectations of both behaviour and pupil outcomes
  • Have a strong subject knowledge with relation to the primary curriculum, in particular, Mathematics and English
  • Have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/level 4 or above (or equivalent).

Desirable but not essential:

  • The ability to work in a team
  • Experience using a range of technology including Microsoft Teams
  • The ability to take the initiative and adapt work to the child or situation
  • The ability to work both in the classroom and out of the classroom
  • An understanding that children’s behaviour is a form of communication and that unacceptable behaviour has a root cause
  • The ability to unpick unacceptable behaviour in order to identify triggers.
