Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support our enthusiastic and curious learners. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide individualised support, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Support pupils with their learning activities, ensuring they understand and complete tasks.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess pupil progress.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued.

Qualifications

  • A recognised Level 3 qualification (or higher) in childcare.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

The position is for 27.5 hours per week & will be a temporary contract until 31st August 2027 & interviews will be held on the 2nd October 2026.
