As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. Working closely with teachers and the wider school team, you will provide support that enables pupils to overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Support pupils in their learning both within the classroom and through individual or small group interventions
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Encourage positive relationships and promote pupil wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
- Contribute to implementing individual learning and support plans
- Maintain accurate records where required and support educational reviews
- Promote positive behaviour through a nurturing and trauma-informed approach

Hours
- Full Time
- Monday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Total Weekly Hours: 39.5

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive and supportive relationships
- A patient, flexible, and resilient approach
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Experience working with children who have additional needs or within a specialist educational setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
