Milby Primary School

Teaching Assistant Level 1 and 2

We are seeking to appoint proactive, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, providing support for both children in a group environment and in a 1:1 capacity across the school.

Working in conjunction with the class teacher and special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo), you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support during core learning time for small groups and/or on a 1:1 basis
  • Supporting in class and performing individual interventions
  • Preparing and managing resources to support needs
  • Supporting a group of children or a child on a 1:1 basis during the lunchtime period

This position is a fixed term contract with an immediate start and will be until 31st August 2027.

Hours of work will be 32 hours and 5 minutes per week Monday – Friday (8:30am – 3:15pm) and will include a 20-minute unpaid lunch break. This role is term time only – 39 weeks.

Salary

  • TA1 - Grade D - £19,315 (actual salary)
  • TA2 - Grade F - £20,249 (actual salary)
