Langley Special School
Salary: £25,614 to £29,070 pro rata plus allowance
We are seeking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (Grade A pt 3-11) to join our supportive and hardworking team.
The successful candidates will work under the direction of teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. This will include working with individuals and small groups of pupils, supporting access to the curriculum, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and during structured activities
- Assisting with the delivery of learning activities as directed by teaching staff
- Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Supporting pupils with additional needs
- Working effectively as part of a team and liaising with staff and external professionals
The Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate:
- A positive, calm, and flexible approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively under direction and as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Experience of working with children is desirable; experience within a SEND setting is an advantage

We have positions available working either 15 or 33.5 hours per week, term-time only. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a school where teamwork, professionalism, and care for pupils and staff are central to our values.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration of criminal record form prior to interview.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore, the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
