The Canons CE Primary School

The Canons CE Primary School is a large 3-form entry school situated in Bedworth. We are an outstanding school (March 2025) and the Governors are looking to appoint 2 experienced Key Stage 1 or 2 Teaching Assistants. Experience in supporting children with SEND would be an advantage. We have a permanent role and a 1 Year fixed term position. The positions are ready to start now but we would be willing to wait for the right candidate. All roles include Midday Supervisor duties, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children.

The hours are 27.5 on a 39 week contract.

The positions will be offered on Scale F, point 7 – 10 depending on experience. (Pro Rata – £27,274 – £29,071) - (Actual approx £17,358 - £18,501)

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an NVQ Level 2 Childcare related qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with Key Stage 1 or 2 children
  • Maths and English A – C or equivalent
  • Be a dedicated professional with the ability to inspire children
  • Set high standards for themselves and others
  • Work successfully in partnership with parents and our community
  • Be a team player with good interpersonal skills and able to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic and caring
  • Be able to show excellent organisational and communication skills with both children and colleagues
