Scotch Orchard Primary School (ATLP)

Scotch Orchard Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to support pupils in their learning and development, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils to make progress and develop their confidence and independence. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the delivery of engaging learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to support their learning and development.
  • Provide appropriate support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning, communication or social development.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.
  • Observe and provide feedback on pupils' progress and contribute to assessment and record keeping where appropriate.
  • Support the wider life of the school and contribute positively to the school community.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Has experience of working with children in a school or similar educational setting.
  • Is caring, patient and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
  • Can build positive relationships with children and adults.
  • Has a good understanding of how to support children's learning and development.
  • Can work confidently with individuals and small groups.
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
  • Has high expectations of pupil behaviour and learning.
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to making a positive difference to pupils' lives.
