Teaching & Learning Support

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and achievement.
• Prepare and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Support educational visits and wider curriculum activities.

Pastoral Care

• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with supervision during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and pupil transitions as required.
• Provide first aid if appropriately qualified.

Communication & Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with teachers, learning support staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate pupil progress and concerns appropriately.
• Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities at all times.

Professional Development

• Participate in training, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including meetings and school events.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children in an educational setting.
• Demonstrate an understanding of SEND and EHCP provision.
• Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential.
• Possess strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and professionals.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
