Teaching Assistant Level 3 / Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: Actual salary £21,704.06 £26,875.46 per annum (appointment at Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Kingsway Park High School, Rochdale

About The Role

Kingsway Park High School is seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Inclusion Team.

Initially based within Seacole, our specialist inclusion provision, you will play a key role in supporting students who require additional academic, social and emotional support to successfully engage with school and achieve their full potential. Through positive relationships, high expectations and personalised support, you will help students build confidence, develop resilience and experience success both inside and outside the classroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a school that places inclusion at the heart of everything it does. Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, you will be appointed as either a Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, with opportunities to lead learning and deliver targeted interventions appropriate to your level of experience.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and flourish in school.

You Will

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, HLTA status or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience of working with children or young people aged 1116.
  • Have experience of supporting students with SEND, SEMH or additional needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Be patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of every student.
  • Be reflective and committed to your own professional development.
