We are now seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning, wellbeing, and social experiences.
About The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Provide high-quality support for teaching, learning, and pupil wellbeing across the school
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning and achieve their full potential
- Support children with a range of needs, including pupils with SEND, through inclusive and nurturing approaches
- Help create a calm, positive, and engaging learning environment where all children feel safe, valued, and supported
- Deliver engaging and purposeful play opportunities that encourage creativity, independence, cooperation, and enjoyment during lunchtimes and outdoor play sessions
- Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing through play and structured support
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support our values-driven ethos
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil development

We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has a clear and proven commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Has experience of working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting
- Is caring, patient, flexible, and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with children and adults alike
- Has high expectations for behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion
- Can work effectively as part of a collaborative and dedicated team
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
Above all, we are seeking someone who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and socially and who will contribute positively to our warm and inclusive school community.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check.

Hours: 25 hrs per week, Term Time plus 5 days
Grade: Grade B, Points 12-23 (£28,598 - £34,434 p.a.) Actual Salary - £17,201 - £21,191 per annum
Location: Stanville Primary, Stanville Road, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3YN
