1:1 Supply Teaching Assistant: Flexible Work in Plymouth

Are you an empathetic and adaptable educator seeking a role that balances professional impact with personal flexibility? We are currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to help children reach their academic and social potential without the burden of planning or marking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 academic and emotional support to pupils throughout the school day.
  • Adapt curriculum tasks to align with individual student learning needs and goals.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that encourages pupil growth.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with emotional regulation and the development of essential social skills.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in a UK school or care-based setting.
  • Previous experience supporting young people on a 1:1 basis.
  • GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • Patient, professional, and resilient approach to classroom challenges.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness).

What We Offer

  • Competitive daily pay rate of GBP92.56 - GBP95.00 (Weekly Pay).
  • Fixed school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, term time only).
  • Total flexibility to choose your working days.
