Teaching Assistant - South East London

A wonderfully led and resourced Primary School in Lewisham, South East London are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join them in October 2026 on a full time basis to work with children who have additional needs and need additional nurturing and support to make their school experience as positive as possible!

Teaching Assistant
Location: Lewisham, South East London
School Type: Mainstream Primary School
Start Date: October or November 2026
Contract: Long term
Salary: £100 - £117 per day
Working Hours: Term Time Only (Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:30pm)

This primary school are seeking a Teaching Assistant that has a fantastic willingness to learn and has a real desire to work with children with additional needs/ SEN.

Qualifications and Experience

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Would
- Have a genuine passion working with children with SEN
- Be driven to improve the education and life chances of children and young people
- Be able to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Be a positive role model and offer encouragement & promote confidence
- Assist with planning of activities with class teacher & SENCO
- Help with general class teaching assistant duties
