Teaching Assistant
Hours of Work
30 per week.
Working Pattern
Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service).
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.
Fixed Term
Until 22 July 2027.

About the Role

Priory is a school where students are expected to work hard and as a result make excellent progress. Priory School is well regarded and is consistently oversubscribed.
The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant (fixed term, until July 2027) to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students. Ideal candidates would have some experience of working with students with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties. An interest in supporting students with Maths would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to individuals and groups of students.
- Support students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties.
- Assist in promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children.
Requirements
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
- DBS enhanced clearance for this authority.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
