Teaching Assistant: Primary School: Bristol

Are you seeking a rewarding role in the education sector that offers a stable and professional environment? We are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school community in Bristol, starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced practitioners, aspiring educators, or those with a background in youth work to make a meaningful impact on pupil development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver structured literacy and numeracy activities.
  • Facilitate targeted intervention through small group sessions and 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional guidance.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom culture by building encouraging, professional relationships with students.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom environments to ensure readiness for the school day.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting children, youth groups, or vulnerable individuals in either a voluntary or professional capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and a high level of professional energy.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in addressing diverse learning styles and emotional needs.
  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a readiness to initiate the application process).
  • Full eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.

What We Offer

  • A structured, full-time schedule of 8:30 AM : 3:30 PM, term time only.
  • A competitive daily rate of GBP92.56 : GBP95.00 (via PAYE).
