Position: KS1 - KS2 Teaching Assistant
Address: Felixstowe, Suffolk IP11 2LA
Salary: £25,614 per annum pro rata
Hours: 30.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027, required as soon as possible

Grange Community Primary School are seeking a caring, passionate, and dedicated KS1 - KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring children in KS1 or KS2, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the National Curriculum
- Fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential
- Providing support for pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development both in and out of the classroom
- Assisting with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to monitor children’s progress and attainment
- Promoting independence, resilience, and confidence through high-quality learning experiences
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to meet each child’s individual needs
- Upholding the school’s values, behaviour expectations, and safeguarding policies always

About You
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 1 or 2
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive team player with the ability to take initiative and adapt when needed
- Patient, kind, and flexible approach to working with children
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) (desirable)
- Experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting is advantageous but not essential
