Teaching Assistant SAN Level 2 Part Time
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, skilled and dedicated part-time Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team at Oswald Road Primary School.
This role would be ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). We are seeking someone who is committed to supporting children feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
The successful candidate will work closely with Parents / Carers, Class Teachers, our EBSA Team and our school Learning Support Team to provide personalised support for a pupil who is experiencing high levels of anxiety, sensory needs, emotional regulations difficulties and barriers to school attendance. We are looking for someone who is able to use collaborative and choice based language, offer flexibility in presentation of tasks, provide predictable routines and prioritise emotional regulation and trust.

Support may be delivered on a one to one basis, in small groups or within the classroom environment. Support will involve both indoor and outdoor learning. The successful candidate will support the pupil to re-engage with learning through flexible, trauma informed approaches, while building a trusting relationships with the pupil and family, and will also work collaboratively with school staff and outside agencies.

This is a part-time role, mornings only Monday - Friday (9am - 12 noon daily).
