SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a committed, full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to offer vital emotional, academic, and social guidance to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them fully engage with the curriculum and succeed across their education.
We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour gently and effectively, promoting emotional well-being.
- Monitor and report on student progress, collaborating closely with teaching staff.

Essentials
- 3-6 months of experience working in a school setting or supporting individuals with SEN/SEMH needs. Highly transferable skills from care, youth work, or similar backgrounds will also be considered.
- Must be available for full-time hours for the entire academic year starting in September.
- Must be a licensed driver with access to a vehicle due to the schools rural location and limited public transport links.

(Salary: GBP 88 - GBP 97 per day. This is a temporary/temporary to permanent role after a probation period)
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM - 03:55 PM, Full-time and term-time for the full academic year.
