Location: Bristol Position: Teaching Assistant experienced with SEN Start Date: ASAP Contract: Temporary / Long-term Hours: Full-time
Education People are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Education Needs to assist with our schools in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and make positive academic and personal progress.

The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Support pupils with their learning, confidence and engagement in the classroom.
- Work alongside teachers and the wider support team to implement individual support strategies.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
- Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioral development where required.
- Assist with classroom activities and general learning support.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND.
- A patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a wider school team.
- Teaching Assistant, SEN or relevant educational experience is desirable.
