Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Apprenticeship - Meadows First School
Overview
Meadows First School is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual to begin a career in education as an Apprentice SEND Learning Support Assistant within the Meadows Pathway provision. The role involves supporting pupils with additional educational needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and participate fully in school life. Full training and support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.
Key Apprenticeship Details
- Programme: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
- Employer: Meadows First School
- Role: Apprentice SEND Learning Support Assistant (Meadows Pathway)
- Wage: £13.28 per hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm
- Contract: Term Time Only plus 5 TED Days
- Location: Stourbridge Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 0AH
- Training Provided: Full apprenticeship training package and ongoing mentoring
- Experience Required: Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils' learning on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist pupils in accessing classroom activities and adapting learning where appropriate.
- Encourage the development of communication, social, emotional, and independence skills.
- Support children during lessons, breaktimes, lunchtimes, educational visits, and school activities.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Observe and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom environments.
- Promote safeguarding, positive behaviour, attendance, and inclusion at all times.
- Participate in apprenticeship training and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive SEND team to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
