Teaching Assistant (27.5 hours) + LTS (5 hours) - Sir Alexander Fleming Primary School and Nursery

Start date: October 2026

Salary: Scale 2 - £13.69 per hour (32.5 hours per week)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners? Sir Alexander Fleming Primary School and Nursery is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our committed teaching staff and help foster a positive learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality lessons.
  • Assist individual students or small groups with their learning, including those with additional needs.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support students’ emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and administrative tasks.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities (e.g., playtime, lunchtime supervisor).
