Contract details
Grade 5 pa inclusive, 16.5 hours per week, 3 days per week, 9.00am - 3.00pm, 39 weeks Term Time Only (TTO).
We are looking for a dynamic, caring and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team and help make a real difference to the progress and experiences of our children.
This role will have a strong focus on delivering high-quality, targeted interventions for individuals and small groups of pupils. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of delivering phonics interventions and who understand how carefully planned support, delivered consistently and evaluated closely, can accelerate children’s progress.
The successful candidate will be child-centred, ambitious for every pupil and committed to ensuring that all children are supported to achieve their very best. You will work closely with teachers and other colleagues, providing effective interventions, giving clear feedback and helping to track pupils’ progress so that support can be adapted quickly where needed.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has high expectations of themselves and every child
- Has a good understanding of how children learn and, ideally, experience of phonics intervention
- Is confident in supporting and tracking pupil progress
- Understands the importance of working within the curriculum and following teachers’ planning and guidance
- Is proactive, organised, flexible and willing to support across the wider school when required
- Builds positive, nurturing relationships while maintaining clear expectations
- Works exceptionally well as part of a team and communicates effectively with teachers and colleagues
- Believes passionately that every child deserves the very best opportunities to succeed.
