We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in our wonderful school. Part of the role would involve working 1-to-1 with a child with SEN. We pride ourselves in being a nurturing school and we are looking for the right person who is able to build very strong relationships with children.
Main Duties
- To support individuals and groups to help them learn.
- To establish an effective and purposeful learning environment in partnership with the teachers and other colleagues.
- To support teachers in assessing the needs of individual children.
- To observe, record and feedback information on pupil performance.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Support pupils consistently while recognising and responding to their individual needs
- The ability to rapidly build relationships
- Some knowledge / experience of primary schools
- Teaching assistant experience would be desirable
- Willingness to uphold the values of our Church of England school
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice and equal opportunities for all
