Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: M40

Pay Rates: GBP14.25 to GBP16.65 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday

Reeson Education are working with an excellent primary school in M40 who are looking to find an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role to start as soon as possible, you will be working across EYFS and KS1 as a general teaching assistant and helping support pupils with SEND in groups.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities and promote inclusion for all pupils
  • Deliver group activities and interventions as directed by the class teacher
  • Communicate effectively, professionally, and in a friendly manner with staff, pupils, and parents
  • Support the management of pupil behaviour and provide additional support for children as required
  • Monitor and track progress of pupils ensuring strong communication with the class teacher

The school is looking for a teaching assistant with relevant experience, who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to a happy and friendly school. As a teaching assistant you will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated, calm, and patient, you should be able to work as part of a team, as well as use your own initiative.

Teaching Assistant Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma are desirable.

Teaching Assistant Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.

Teaching Assistant Attributes

  • A passion for supporting children's education, a proactive approach, and a willingness to adapt to different school environments.

Safeguarding

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
