Teaching Assistant - KS1 SEN Support

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with special educational needs (SEN) in the Bury area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support as a Teaching Assistant to a KS1 pupil with SEN
  • Work closely with the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant to implement learning activities
  • Support the pupil in academic tasks, personal development, and social skills as a Teaching Assistant
  • Assist with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and resources as a Teaching Assistant
  • Build trusting relationships and act as a reliable Teaching Assistant for the pupil

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a KS1 or SEN setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant: desirable but not essential
