Flexible Supply Teaching Assistant: Dartmouth and Surrounding Areas

Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your life, while making a real difference to young people in your local community? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our daily supply team, supporting local primary and secondary schools across Dartmouth and the surrounding coastal and rural areas. Whether you are looking for full-time work or just a few days a week, daily supply gives you complete control over your schedule without any take-home planning or marking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support across various year groups under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra support with literacy, numeracy, or engagement.
  • Manage classroom behavior positively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom setup, learning resources, and playground supervision during breaks.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments, staff teams, and daily routines.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 months UK experience working with children or young people (e.g., in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching, or care settings).
  • Location: Based in or easily able to commute to Dartmouth and surrounding local schools.
  • Attributes: Reliable, adaptable, proactive, and passionate about supporting pupils educational development.
  • Safeguarding: An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new one).

What We Offer

  • Great Daily Rate: Earn between GBP 92.56 and GBP 95.00 per day, depending on experience.
  • School-Friendly Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 with no work to take home at the end of the day.
  • Total Flexibility: Choose the days you want to work—ideal for balancing family commitments, studies, or other pursuits.
  • Variety: Build experience across a range of local schools and settings.
  • Contract Type: Flexible / Temporary Supply.
