TEACHING ASSISTANT
Salary
- NJC Scale TA Level 1, 2 or 3
- Level 1a and b, points 3-4 (£24,796 to £25,185 pa FTE - pay award pending). Actual salary £21,267.34 pa on point 3
- Level 2, points 5 to 6 (£25,583 to £25,989 pa FTE - pay award pending). Actual salary £21,942.34 pa on point 5
- Level 3, points 7 to 11 (£26,403 to £28,142 per annum - pay award pending). Actual salary £22,645.65 pa on point 7.
Contract
- Permanent
- 32.5 hours per week
- Term time plus 5 training days (39 weeks per year)
- Part time may be considered

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistants to join our thriving SEND department at Hinchingbrooke School. We are seeking individuals to be a members of our SEND support team who can support our students to access their learning in a range of contexts and lessons.
The roles are ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping students, particularly with learning difficulties, and also a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in Teaching to gain valuable first-hand experience.
There are 3 distinct TA roles available:
- TA to support students in lessons - reporting to SENDCo
- TA to be part of the literacy intervention team delivering a range of literacy interventions for students across all year groups - reporting to Literacy Interventions Lead
- TA in the role of Inclusion Worker - reporting to Alternative Provision Manager

Strategic Purpose
To support students including those with Special Educational Needs and disabilities in the distinct roles by:
- Contributing to the development of the SEND department
- Running literacy interventions where appropriate and under the guidance of the literacy intervention team.
- Supporting students in our Gateway provision.
SEND TA Role (Level 1, 2 Or 3)
- Working within a dedicated and experienced team.
- Depending on the experience and level of the successful candidates, main duties include:
- Supporting students in their lessons
- Undertaking a Key Worker role
- Planning and/or delivering interventions
Literacy Intervention TA Role (Level 2 Or 3)
- This role involves working within our Literacy Interventions Team.
- It is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping students to improve any aspects of literacy.
- Experience of delivering literacy interventions would be desirable.
- This is also a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in Teaching to gain valuable first-hand experience or has had teaching experience.
Inclusion Worker TA (Level 3)
