Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistants
Permanent – Term Time Only
Option 1 - Redhill Primary Academy (including duties within the After-School Club)
- The contracted hours for this post are 34.75 hours per week.
- Start time: 8.45am.
- Finish time: 3pm or 6pm, subject to allocated After-School Club shifts (2 per week).
- Salary: £20,378 per annum (actual).
Option 2 - Thomas Telford Primary Free School
- The contracted hours for this post are 23.75 hours per week.
- Hours of work: 8.45am until 1.30pm
- Salary: £13,927 per annum (actual).
Successful candidates are eligible for performance related pay linked to Academy policy in addition to their salary after an initial qualifying period.
About the Employer
Redhill Primary Academy joined the Thomas Telford Multi Academy Trust in September 2018. The TTMAT has a proven track record of excellence and is at the forefront of educational developments nationally. In June 2024, Redhill Primary Academy was awarded Ofsted’s highest accolade, after being rated Outstanding in all areas of the inspection framework, stating that all pupils thrive both academically as well as personally and socially.
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidates will have high expectations of both attainment and behaviour, and a commitment to helping all children achieve their full potential.

Requirements
- Experience of working with children is essential
- Good English, Maths, and communication skills
- This post is a designated customer-facing role under the fluency duty and therefore requires a specified level of spoken English, as stated in the person specification

All successful candidates are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with barred list (for regulated activity posts) as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024), such as an online check, suitable references, ID checks, and proof of qualifications (where appropriate).
