Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Coordinator (Teacher Education)
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Coordinator (Teacher Education). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute and support all our placement activities for our students in our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes. The role includes managing a small team, liaising with students, academic and professional services teams, partner schools and external bodies (including the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted) within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Providing line management for the Initial Teacher Education team.
- Coordinating the disbursal of student bursaries, travel awards, mentor and school payments and ensuring accurate records are maintained for both internal and external audits, and Ofsted inspections.
- Supporting the DfE census, ensuring all trainee records are included and bursary information is accurately recorded.
- Maintaining accurate records of students and placements are kept in line with university policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills; numeracy skills (demonstrating both accuracy and attention to detail); and organisational skills.
- Ability to solve problems creatively, with experience of contributing to the development and improvement of systems and procedures.
- A flexible team player with the ability to support colleagues.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in an ITE or education-related administrative environment.
- Experience of working with external regulatory or compliance bodies.
