About The Role
Based at Gaydon, this Team Administrator position supports waste management operations for a permanent, full-time contract paying £27,000 to £30,000 annually, dependent on experience. About The Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Waste Systems Administrator to provide administrative, systems and compliance support across our waste management operations.
You will be responsible for supporting waste management systems, coordinating audits, producing reports and KPIs, and acting as a key point of contact for operational teams, customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for Waste and Recycling One (WR1) and Smart World (SW) systems.
- Act as the main point of contact for system and portal queries.
- Schedule and coordinate waste compliance and Duty of Care audits.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and ensure audits remain up to date.
- Produce monthly reports, KPIs and management information.
- Support waste reduction and sustainability initiatives, including carbon footprint reporting.
- Provide central helpdesk support to brokered waste sites.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers, handling queries and complaints professionally.
- Prepare waste transfer notes and consignment notes.
- Support orders, invoices, financial reporting and supplier price benchmarking.
- Attend waste meetings and provide administrative support.
- Support new business and commercial activities where required.
About You
Essential
- GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative, operational or systems-based role.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting teams and individuals.
- Experience handling customer and supplier queries and complaints.
- Understanding of the importance of working safely.
- Familiarity with a factory, manufacturing or industrial environment.

Desirable
- Experience or understanding of SAP.
- Understanding of waste compliance and Duty of Care requirements.
- ADR Basic Awareness.
- Previous experience within the waste or recycling industry.
- Experience using waste management systems or portals.
- Experience with compliance, audits or environmental documentation.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and customer-focused, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You should be confident working with systems and data, communicating with a range of stakeholders and taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
