Legal Document & Administration Assistant
London | Permanent | £30,000–£32,000 | Full-time office based
If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys getting the detail right, working through a process and knowing that everything is exactly where it should be, this could be a really good opportunity.
We’re recruiting a Legal Document & Administration Assistant to join a busy professional services environment in London. This is a role where accuracy, diligence and consistency really matter – so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with an element of repetition and takes pride in completing work thoroughly rather than simply racing through a task.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
A large part of the role will focus on document and deeds administration, including:
- Maintaining accurate schedules
- Checking information
- Tracking documents
- Ensuring records are complete and easily retrievable
You’ll also support the administration of data sites/data rooms, including:
- Uploading and downloading documents
- Managing folders
- Processing user access
- Ensuring information is correctly organised
Previous experience using data sites, data rooms, HighQ, SharePoint or similar document-management platforms would be particularly useful, although attitude and approach are equally important.
There will also be exposure to broader team administration and some PA-style support, but this isn’t designed as a short-term route into a paralegal or Legal PA position. We’re particularly interested in someone who sees value in building their expertise within administration, document management and business support and wants a role they can really make their own.
