We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-focused and energetic Team Administrator to join our dynamic Visits and Ceremonial Office (VCO). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love juggling multiple priorities, and take pride in delivering exceptional work—you could be exactly who we’re looking for.
About Us | Mō mātou
Our team is at the heart of some of New Zealand’s most significant moments. We plan, coordinate and deliver high-profile Government visits, national ceremonies, and major events.
From hosting international dignitaries as Guests of Government, to delivering iconic occasions like Anzac Day commemorations, State Funerals, and national events, no two days are the same.
The role | Te tūnga
This is not your typical administrative role. You’ll be a core part of a high‑performing team, supporting the delivery of complex, high‑stakes events by coordinating across multiple workstreams, managing competing priorities, and ensuring every detail is executed to a high standard. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to work that truly matters to New Zealand, gain unique experience, and build your capability alongside passionate colleagues in an environment that supports growth and development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
