Who We Are
Helsing is a defence AI company. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aim to achieve technological leadership, so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards.
As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility to be thoughtful about the development and deployment of powerful technologies like AI. We take this responsibility seriously.
We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists, and customer-facing programme managers. We are looking for mission-driven people to join our European teams – and apply their skills to solve the most complex and impactful problems. We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications.
The Role
As Team Assistant in London, you will support the team around Helsing's chief operating officer as it works with governments, armed forces, and industry partners. Alongside the Executive Assistant, you will arrange meetings, manage complex diaries across time zones, and handle correspondence with senior officials with care and discretion. You will plan travel in Britain and abroad, keep expenses accurate, and help information move smoothly between departments. Your work creates the conditions for colleagues to answer partners quickly and deliver on Helsing's commitments to European defence. It also shapes how the people we serve experience the company.
The Day-to-Day
- Act as first point of contact for the leadership team, handling correspondence with internal departments, external stakeholders, and suppliers, and prioritising incoming requests so that nothing urgent waits
- Manage complex diaries for several senior colleagues, scheduling internal and external meetings across time zones and resolving conflicts before they reach the leadership team
- Plan business travel in Britain and abroad end to end, covering itineraries, visas, and logistics, so that every trip delivers the maximum number of useful meetings
- Prepare travel and team expense reports accurately and to deadline, keeping spending transparent and within policy
- Organise meetings and events with senior officials across government, industry, and Helsing's executive team, from agendas and briefing packs to venues and follow-ups

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Join Helsing and Work with World-Leading Experts in Their Fields

- In our domain, success is a matter of order-of-magnitude improvements and novel capabilities. This means we take bets, aim high, and focus on big opportunities. Despite being a relatively young company, Helsing has already been selected for multiple significant government contracts
- We actively encourage healthy, proactive, and diverse debate internally about what we do and how we choose to do it.
