Mortgage & Protection Adviser Team Lead
Surrey / Berkshire | £40,000 basic + £70,000–£80,000 OTE | Hybrid
Already leading advisers, but wondering what the next step looks like?
This could be it.
We’re looking for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser Team Lead to join a growing property services group, where you’ll have the opportunity to build on your leadership experience, develop your own team and work towards senior/area management.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be managing a spreadsheet and chasing numbers. You'll be hands-on with your advisers, coaching them through real cases, sitting in on appointments, running 1-1s, developing performance and working closely with estate agency partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
You'll already be an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser and ideally have Team Lead or people-management experience. CeMAP qualified.
More importantly, you're ready for more.
You're someone who enjoys developing others, isn't afraid of a difficult performance conversation and wants to build a career in management rather than simply being the best broker in the room.
You'll be commercially minded, confident with KPIs and comfortable working collaboratively with both advisers and estate agency partners.
If you're already leading a team and feel ready for a business where there is more room to grow, let's have a conversation.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
