This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Team Leader (CTL) within the Community Enhanced Rehabilitation Team (CERT). The team has been well established and covers the entire Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland County. We are a Psychology and need-led service focusing on delivering rehabilitation interventions in the community.

CERT is a psychology-led, community mental health rehabilitation team within the enhanced rehabilitation and recovery pathway. Comprising of a multi-disciplinary team, CERT provides mental health rehabilitation focused interventions in the community for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. We work within a recovery approach, undertaking collaborative interventions with service users, families, and wider networks within the community. CERT offers service users and carers a greater choice over their care and recovery, ensuring interventions are delivered in the least restrictive setting.

As a Clinical Team Leader you will lead a team of up to 20 clinical staff, provide support to staff as well as full line management responsibility, and also hold a small caseload of your own. The team's base is located at Gwendolen House, based at Leicester General Hospital. Here at CERT, we have a cohesive and fun team who make coming to work a pleasure whilst ensuring the highest standards of care are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic team player to join this growing and developing team.

The role is suited to a driven and dynamic individual with a passion for mental health rehabilitation and community working. There will be opportunity for ongoing personal development for you.

Please note - Driving is essential for this post. The core hours of the post and service are Monday to Friday 9 to 5. Fixed office space, as well as the ability to work in an agile way in line with the trust's policy.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)

The successful candidate will manage and take overall responsibility for care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership and guidance, clinical advice, and management in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality:

  • Patient safety
  • The effectiveness of all health care interventions
  • Patient experience
  • The environment in which care is delivered
  • Driving improvement and ongoing development of the service

To ensure the delivery of a clinically effective service which meets the needs of individuals, families, and communities in line with local and national development plans, Trust policies and procedures, being responsible for the coordination of services and to promote optimum health, self-management, and effective liaison between agencies. The post holder will carry responsibility and professional and managerial accountability, which includes management of staff, budgets, quality, and standards of practice of all members of the team by enhancing systems such as clinical.
