About ATC

ATC is a global logistics, white-glove, and technical services specialist for data centers. For over 45 years, we’ve helped deliver Europe’s data centers safely, securely, and right the first time. Our work includes specialist IT transport and relocations, as well as full data center commissioning and decommissioning.

As part of the Arvato Group, we benefit from the strength, scale, and global expertise of one of the world’s leading supply chain and technology partners. What truly sets us apart, however, is our people. We invest in training, development, and continuous improvement, and we take pride in building long-term relationships with our clients and teams across Europe.

This Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Team Lead to support the daily leadership of our Control Tower Planning Team, which manages transport planning for hyperscale data centre clients across Europe, the UK and Ireland. The role involves supporting the planning, booking, monitoring and reporting of transport activity while ensuring high standards of customer service, operational performance and planning accuracy.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the successful candidate will provide daily leadership to the Planning Team, act as a key point of contact for designated customer accounts, and support continuous improvement across planning processes, team performance and service delivery. This is a fast-paced operational role requiring strong organisation, clear communication, attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the Planning Team, ensuring shipments, routes and resources are planned effectively to meet customer service and operational performance targets.
  • Oversee ATC’s internal truck fleet planning to ensure utilisation targets are achieved.
  • Provide regular updates to the Planning Manager on team performance, planning activity, vendor issues, operational risks, KPI trends and service delivery.
  • Oversee active shipment monitoring and customer communications, ensuring updates, queries, changes and escalations are managed accurately, promptly and professionally.
  • Lead daily operational calls, ensuring priorities, risks, escalations and actions are clearly communicated and followed through.
  • Support team resource planning, including rota coverage, holiday approvals and workload allocation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, overseas offices, ATC operations, field teams, customers and supply chain teams to ensure schedules, service levels and operational requirements are met.
  • Coach, support and develop team members through regular performance monitoring, 1:1 meetings and identification of training needs.
  • Support audits, SOP reviews and process improvements across key planning functions to improve consistency, reduce risk and maintain quality, service and compliance standards.
  • Liaise with Finance and Accounts teams to support accurate billing, quoting and financial administration.
  • Complete payroll reporting and other administrative tasks as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
