Your Impact
The Team Lead, Quality Engineering is responsible for leading a small team of quality engineers, guiding and monitoring the analysis, design, implementation and execution of automated and exploratory tests.
The person in this role will be working closely with quality engineers, developers and product owners to ensure the stability, availability and reliability of production platforms and applications through the planning and execution of testing.
What You'll Do
- Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
- Contribute toward predictable delivery of quality releases. Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing the automation coverage of our products.
- Mentor team members on quality processes and automation.
- Identify, gather and interpret required metrics to make informed decisions regarding the quality of the product.
- Ensure all automated tests are executed in each build and the results are easily accessible and communicated.
- Plan for the required testing to ensure the quality of our products.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, motivating and inspiring your team to reach and exceed all set targets and KPIs
- Coach team members in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous development
- Ensure all team members have clear, up-to-date Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and receive regular performance reviews and meaningful 1:1 conversations to support growth, engagement, and accountability
- Maintain a trusting, collaborative environment, enabling the team to thrive
- Lead the recruitment efforts for your team, identifying and hiring top talent

What You'll Bring With You
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a QA Automation, Test Engineering, or Software Quality role, including exposure to testing tools and frameworks.
- Ideally, minimum of 2 years' experience leading or mentoring teams.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and automated testing within Agile environments.
- Experience designing, executing, and maintaining automated test suites using tools such as Cypress, Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices, including TDD and BDD.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex problems, make informed decisions, and drive quality improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong business awareness and understanding of the products, systems, and processes being tested.

Our Hiring Process
We've made our process as simple as possible whilst also allowing you to meet multiple members of the team, giving us valuable viewpoints on your experience. Everything is on Zoom and we aim to get you through our process in about 2 weeks.
