Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and support a team of Reinsurance Technicians, overseeing daily workloads and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Oversee the processing and administration of reinsurance contracts, including premiums, technical accounts, settlements and related documentation.
- Monitor workflow, team performance and service levels, identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or operational issues.
- Ensure reinsurance transactions are processed accurately and in line with internal procedures, contractual requirements and market standards.
- Support the resolution of complex technical queries, discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Operations, as well as external brokers and market counterparties where appropriate.
- Provide coaching, guidance and training to team members, supporting their technical development and progression.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and overall team performance.
- Support management reporting, operational controls, audit requirements and the maintenance of accurate records.
