Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance professional to lead our London and Chicago-based Trade Finance team within Global Structured Trade Finance (STF). The team supports business growth by providing trade finance solutions that facilitate liquidity management, credit risk mitigation, and financing activities across the global trading business.

As Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing trade finance operations, developing team capability, strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders and banking partners, and driving continuous improvement across processes and systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective use of trade finance instruments while maintaining strong governance and control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a global Trade Finance team, ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day activities and technical excellence.
  • Oversee the issuance and management of trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Bonds.
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Accounting Policy, and Commercial teams to deliver effective financing and risk mitigation solutions.

  • Ensure robust controls, governance, and operational processes are in place to support global trade finance activities.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance on complex trade finance structures and collateral arrangements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process simplification, automation, and technology adoption.
  • Support knowledge sharing, capability development, and collaboration across global and regional teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
