To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent
Are you passionate about developing future talent? We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to lead and enhance our apprenticeship and technician development programmes across UK Offshore Operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of offshore wind technicians while supporting one of the world's largest renewable energy operators.
At RWE Offshore Wind, we believe that long-term, sustainable success can only be reached through people, and this role is pivotal in making that happen.
We believe that by developing the best in people, we can bring clean energy to shore as the world's best Operator. We are passionate about helping to protect our planet and are committed to supporting societies globally to meet the United Nations' two-degree target and to achieving net zero by 2040. In short: we care for each other, our assets and the environment wherever we operate, whatever we do. We care today so everyone can enjoy tomorrow (#enjoytomorrow).
About the role
- Actively drive and improve our Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship Programme to ensure it remains world class and is seen as the exemplar in Offshore Wind.
- Engage and develop relationships within Offshore Operations to ensure our training meets the demands of this function, with best practice shared group-wide.
- Actively drive the Technician Career Pathway scheme, upskilling our technicians to ensure we can meet the demands of the development pipeline.
- Work with HR to create an annual recruitment plan for apprentices based on business needs, project commitments and strategic workforce development plans.
- Collaborate closely with HR to design and deliver an inclusive recruitment strategy that attracts and selects high-potential talent, building a sustainable pipeline of skilled technicians for both existing operations and future site developments.
- Proactively collaborate with HR to ensure alignment with the wider apprenticeship portfolio, so our schemes are recognised as market leading in Offshore, and support wider RWE teams by providing information for external materials promoting our apprenticeship and development programmes.
- Be the lead on Diversity in Operations, ensuring a diverse workforce through an appropriate Operational Strategy and action plan fit for a world-class organisation, while contributing towards and delivering on annual KPIs, goals and targets for the site and wider business.
- Support projects or teams with external engagement activities, such as careers fairs and presentations aimed at future technicians.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
