Full-Time Team Leader Position Available | Day and Night Shifts

Harley House Supported Living is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Team Leader to join our team in Clacton-on-Sea.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and confident in leading by example while maintaining the highest standards of support and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding person-centred support.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting best practice and professional standards.
  • Ensure care and support plans, risk assessments, and positive behaviour support strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Support the individual with daily living activities, community access, and meaningful engagement.
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion.
  • Safely support behaviours that may challenge.
  • Monitor, review, and contribute to support documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with staff supervision, mentoring, induction, and ongoing development.
  • Support rota management and shift coordination as required.
  • Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

About You

  • Have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Have experience supporting behaviours that challenge.
  • Have previous experience in a senior support worker or team leader role, or can demonstrate leadership potential.
  • Are confident in leading and motivating others.
  • Are physically and emotionally resilient.
  • Are positive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Can remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Are committed to learning, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Enjoy being active and engaging in a wide range of activities.
