Team Leader

Are you an experienced warehouse leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? Do you enjoy motivating teams, driving performance and delivering outstanding customer service? Are you confident leading colleagues to achieve productivity, quality and service targets while maintaining a strong safety culture?

Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Revelyst operation in Sherburn-in-Elmet. This is a fixed-term opportunity for 6 months, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, where you'll play a key role in leading warehouse colleagues and supporting the smooth delivery of daily operational activities. Working closely with the Shift Management Team, you'll help ensure operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Take accountability for coordinating operational activities within your designated area, ensuring productivity, accuracy and service levels are consistently achieved
  • Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives, creating a positive team environment focused on achieving individual and team objectives
  • Prioritise workloads and allocate resources effectively to ensure customer deadlines, operational targets and quality standards are met
  • Monitor performance and provide regular feedback, coaching and support to colleagues while escalating issues where appropriate
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture by ensuring colleagues follow safe systems of work, operational procedures and site standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar warehouse leadership role within a logistics or operational environment
  • Experience leading teams, conducting return-to-work interviews and supporting investigations where required
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate colleagues and manage multiple priorities
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to make informed operational decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to lead by example and drive high standards
