Here at GXO, we're recruiting for Team Leaders to join our operation at Northampton DC7. Working within a busy shared-user warehouse, you'll play a key role in leading operational teams, supporting daily activities and ensuring performance targets and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7, with opportunities available across both 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00 shifts.
Pay, benefits and more:
We're offering a rate of £13.97 per hour, plus a £1 per hour shift allowance for hours worked after 18:00 on the late shift. Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and coordinate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring productivity, quality and service level targets are consistently achieved across your operational area
- Allocate labour and resources effectively to support changing operational demands, maintaining efficiency and ensuring customer SLA requirements are met
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching, support and feedback to encourage engagement, development and high performance
- Utilise warehouse management systems and operational reporting to track performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support effective decision-making
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and accountability while promoting company values and best practice across the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role within a warehousing, logistics or distribution environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage colleagues across a fast-paced operation
- Experience working with warehouse management systems and operational performance data
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing business requirements
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service
