Job Profile

Additional time will be set aside for the items below in addition to your normal duties:

  • To have an understanding of all products and keep up to date with changes.
  • To run your section in accordance with company procedures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the factory.
  • To ensure the safety and quality of products delivered to customers is maintained at all times by checking that all staff work within required standards in your section.
  • To ensure new starters and existing staff are fully trained on all relevant products and processes within your area.
  • To resolve issues with other operational areas in the factory as required through cross-functional teams.
  • To liaise with the Factory Manager, Production Engineer and other operational areas regarding improvements, providing feedback on performance, issues and information as required in company procedures and KPIs.
  • To liaise with the Design Office on new product introductions to maximise production efficiency and meet quality requirements.
  • To ensure that manufactured products comply with design specifications and advise of any discrepancies between Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly drawings.
  • To ensure and enforce that company policies and procedures are always followed.
  • To monitor and enforce health and safety policies within operational areas and liaise with the Health & Safety Officer as required.
  • To drive Continuous Improvement activities, with the support of the Production Engineer, to achieve section KPIs, enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • To manage absence, conduct and performance within your team through company performance management processes and standard procedures, including absence and conduct documentation.
  • To provide cover for other Team Leaders during periods of holiday or absence.
  • To undertake ad hoc reports and tasks as directed by the Factory Manager or Operations Director.

  • Minimum 5 year’s experience in an assembly environment and ideally 2-3 years in a supervisory role
